I forgot to post this but I got my cool stuff from @blacksmoke1033.bsky.social last week and if any of you have a deep desire for cool pins, fancy stickers and really, really nice lens cloths I recommend checking him out!

Yeah, it's usually really fun and, in the best instances, nuanced, within the setting or otherwise in comparison to life, be them androids or clones.

And then... there's these souped up akinators that suggest ironing ballbags because they're wrinkly. Sigh.

I really love the 'are they people' question in speculative fiction. It's a huge favourite of mine.

However, I just felt myself become Gavin Reed and trot off to join the Brotherhood of Steel at the mere idea that anyone'd argue for personhood for our current 'use glue to keep cheese on pizza' AI.
