I very randomly found this small place that sources heritage rice varieties from across the country and picked up this nava arisi kanji, that also includes some samba, and it blew my mind how good it smelled and tasted. Will check if they have the one you've mentioned.

#Inktober D6. Decided to make today's plant monster face off against godzilla from a few years ago (mainly to male optimal use of sketchbook space but also for the cool factor).

#Inktober drawing 5. Satyr. Was doing okay until I got to the legs. Messed up the angles and they looked broken. So a bit of fancy cropping and angling of photo to make them seem not so bad. 😅

#Inktober drawing 4. Sorry to anyone who expected another good sketch from me. Today we're back to drawing like a 5 year old. 😬 Mainly because I tried to draw from a movie still (prompt is creepy doll) instead of an actual sketch. Did kind of ok until I messed up the nose. Oops.

#Inktober drawing 4. Sorry to anyone who expected another good sketch from me. Today we're back to drawing like a 5 year old. 😬 Mainly because I tried to draw from a movie still (prompt is creepy doll) instead of an actual sketch. Did kind of ok until I messed up the nose. Oops.
#Inktober D3. Almost didn't draw today because I dozed off early with a fever. Woke up when it broke and decided to quickly draw something to not let down a twitter mutual who said they'd follow my inktober thread. And somehow managed to draw this - quite possibly my best sketch ever? 😃

So I got this lemon tart under the influence of @milified.bsky.social and her tweet from a few days ago. Never had one before and must say I'm not a fan. Is it supposed to be so extra? So much tartness and sweetness. Was like a slap in my mouth. Barely managed to finish it.

I miss cats - the ones at parents' but also in general. I see a lot of them hanging around the garbage bins which are directly across the street from me but none of them let you get close. So it was nice to meet and pet this pretty one yesterday at the beach.

Worst is how most of them have way more reasons to care than I do. Almost all of them have offspring! How can a parent not give a shit about the not-so-distant future? How long will their privilege shield their children in the current climate? I am terrified on their behalf ffs.
