Of course I can't speak for all bookstores, but I'll add that even though we're in a reddish, rural area, almost everyone who's worked at our store is brown, queer, neurospicy or some combo thereof. Turns out, we're the most interesting and most qualified ones!

At my bookstore we sure do. In particular we carry a large selection of indigenous-authored titles which is reflective of our community and customer base.

If you buy a book from Amazon, they won't even notice. Buy one from an independent bookstore and it'll make our day! Promise!
