Go see live theater somewhere or a musical put on by a bunch of random people or standup in some seedy dive not the same venue you’d see a band in, if those still existed, or start a band or something. Dark eras of history require the bright light of art.

And yes God is light, but also God is art.

I think theater should be compulsory because no one should go through life without finding drawings like this or hearing your wife say things like “we’re going to need a handful of gazelles, couple zebras OOOH WHAT IF THERE WAS A HIPPO WITH A SMALL BIRD ON ITS BACK?” or sprinting backstage…

Yet I’m not saying they should be banned or anything, but can we try anything but nothing? I’ve had a future article idea for a while titled “A Nation of Presidents” where in the recent past, the President was one of the only ones with quick access to any info. Now we all can, but we don’t need to.
