I got my #crow #linocut on a tshirt and I love it! Sales incoming? I'd love to eventually!

I did some test #prints on a French Tool press. It was my first time using the press, and I really enjoyed it. I need to clean up the blocks some then head back with nicer paper. #linocut

Slow but steady forward movement on this #embroidery #wip. Nearly halfway done (?)

I finished the #koi #linocut except for the eyes. I'm still trying to figure out how I want them. Just for fun, I did some #charcoal rubs on the print. I love how the effect turned out.

My #hishizashi #wip is coming along after a restart. I love how it looks so far!

My #wip from a wet felting class we took yesterday. This is the first layer of what will become a flower. We still have several classes to go, but I am very excited about learning this technique. #felt #fiberarts

My #koi #linocut #wip is nearly complete! I get really lost carving and can spend several hours working without noticing it. For me, it is a meditative process. The koi will be printed on fabric and paper with colored spots painted in.

Happy International Day of Women and Girls in Science! 🧪 It's hard for me to resist a good insect collection opportunity, here I am taking a break between shrimp pot sets to do some bee collecting for the Alaska Bee Atlas 🐝 #entomology

Not the most impressive photo I've taken, but it is showing progress well! I am about halfway through the yellow green seen on the bobbin waiting its turn.

Finished right around this time last year. I'm still pretty proud of how the gradients turned out. #blackwork #embroidery on 14-count Aida, my own design. #tbt

Making progress on this #hishizashi project. It is REALLY slow going, but I can't wait to see it finished.

Last night I taught my first embroidered mends class. It was great to get to help everyone learn how to patch their denim and then add #embroidery around the patch.

If you want to join me for a workshop, be sure to check my upcoming classes: MCreativeJ.com

Working on a new cosplay project and I am so happy with how this sashiko embroidery turned out!! Just over 20 hours of stitching and so much math.

I love following the Fiber Arts feeds here. While I love seeing and admiring knitting projects, I don't have an interest in picking it up yet. But every time I see some fabric on a loom, my hands get itchy it buy one and learn weaving. Hopefully, one day, I'll have the space for it.

It might be hard to see, but this is my #koi #wip #linocut. I'm going to redo it with the lines as the positive image rather than the negative. I plant to print on paper and fabric then paint in the colors.

My current #hishizashi #wip. I had to start this one over several times because the traditional way of stitching was making it look a little strange. The final piece will be about 5x7in for framing.

I am really bad about posting #WIP pictures. I'm currently working on a #koi #linocut and another #hishizashi project. I'll try to get photos up later.

Another #hishizashi bookmark. I feel like these are going much better now that I've practiced a few.
