Looking for beauty on the road to extinction
The Jesus Lizard 1997. I believe this was shot for an article by Peter Margasak in the Chicago Reader. They were recording the album BLUE for Capitol Records at the time.

Davids, Yow and Sims of "the Jesus Lizard". These are outs from a 1997 photoshoot for the Chicago Reader. I photographed the band in halves, on 35mm film, with my Nikon F3 w/motordrive. I put the halves together as a diptych print in the darkroom.

I'm just beginning to realize how many photos of the Jesus Lizard I have that haven't been published before. This is some transient hotel in Old Town, Chicago 1996 for Capitol Records. Shot on 35mm transparency film with a Nikon F3 w/motor drive

Almost finished scanning my hundreds of "the Jesus Lizard" images. Looking forward to moving on to the next step of this project. This one was for Capital Records in '98. Shot in my Pilson Studio in Chicago. B+W film with my Hasselblad

For as much of a shit show that social media is, it also gives us access to our past and old friends we might have otherwise lost our connection to. It was sweet to see Rich Patrick again after all these years! I hope to see you again soon, my friend 🖤

I just picked up a beautiful print at PhotoImpact for Rich Patrick, of a portrait I made of him years ago. This was shot on 4x5 Polaroid T55 film with a Lynhoff Technika.

This is a reminder that all my work is for sale 🖤

In an attempt to slow myself down and focus on making small art as well as rekindling the habit of writing letters and postcards to my friends I've given myself the exercise of making collage postcards out of the day's junk mail. This was an ACLU magazine.
