Holy fuck. As a dad whose youngest was diagnosed with leukemia at just 15 month old, and had to put him through chemo for 3 fucking years before he could ring the bell, this incenses me. I'll bring my own fucking bell & mount it to their goddamn wall, and they'll have to get security to drag me out!

Let them ring the damn bell in the ward, for all to witness and hear. That symbolic act is cathartic for the patient, families, care-givers and yes other patients who long to ring that bloody thing some day soon.
