Serious question: what would happen if he didn’t leave following his firing? Would it then be up to building security to escort him out? If so, what would happen if they chose not to do that?

Disagree. It should be the SS retirement age. Congress shouldn’t be stumbling around til they’re dead, just like we shouldn’t be REQUIRED to work til we’re dead to feed, house, and warm ourselves.
