Sure, I'll watch that interview, right after I finish watching every last show on Netflix and cataloguing my vast collection of nuts and bolts.

Reminds me of last summer, when Ottawa's newly minted Medical Officer of Health twisted himself into a pretzel trying to convince us that it was actually a good thing that they were cutting water quality measurements at area beaches from daily to weekly, forcing residents to assess their own risk.

It's a testament to the extraordinary awfulness of Trump and his retinue that it makes awful people like Paul and GWBush look good in comparison... but, y'know, they're still awful people.

Indeed. Just the first Ottawa-Montreal phase of high-speed rail is at least 10 years away from rolling. In the meantime, a major effort should be made to make VIA a viable and attractive option for public transit.

Agreed. There are many other pundits (and politicians) in Canada who could assimilate in the US rather easily - how do we encourage them to do so?

I appreciate when it's a garnish rather than deeply embedded in the dish, so I can easily push it aside... or pass it to my wife, who likes it. Same thing with wasabi or horseradish, which I deeply dislike. I guess that makes me sort of a supertaster, but it's more of a curse than a blessing.

We're still kind of there... our only streaming service is Netflix, supplemented by some free ones like CBC Gem, Kanopy, and a few things on YouTube. For everything else, we borrow DVDs from the local public library, and that generally requires a lonnnnng wait.

I'm in, but please hold the cilantro on my serving... I have a genetic predisposition to disliking the stuff, as it tastes more like soap than food to me.

Doug Ford has his crayons out, and is taking notes.

It'll be great, if I live to see it (I'm no spring chicken).

He may be a joke, but I'm not laughing. He and his friends are wielding a wrecking ball on our province, and much of the destruction will be irreversible.

The poor blighter had to endure the slings and arrows hurled at him from across the legislature floor for 51 whole days this year! Of course, I'm sure he wasn't actually there for many of those days, cuz he had more important stuff to attend to, like learning at least one of our official languages.

One of the good guys. My close encounter with him occurred some years ago when he joined Arthur Milnes to give a group of us ordinary folks a free historical walking tour of Kingston.

Remember that time he leaped into the lake buck-naked with Rick Mercer? Unforgettable!
