A better stance is a bipartisan effort to reform ICE. As congress flips back and forth with control we see extreme partisan changes ping pong. Define what DHS/ICE Border Patrol can/cant do and a new mission. Define what the justice department must do in protecting rights based on violations.

I’m not an IL constituent but I fully support your efforts. Instead of a bill on force just to DHS, let’s make it uniform to all law enforcement activities (local, state, federal), including when the armed forces are charged with law enforcement (national guard or military under insurrection order)

By eliminating the need for profit margins, excessive executive compensation, and complex billing structures, resources could be redirected toward preventive care, negotiated pricing, and patient services that actually reduce long-term costs.

A non-profit, cost-sharing health care model centered on reinvestment and low overhead would be far better suited to replace the U.S. insurance system because it aligns incentives with patient outcomes rather than shareholder profit.
