Yeah. It shook me up a little. But I'm not hurt. Heck, I've probably hit doors harder than she hit me.

If I'm being honest, though, it really freaked me out for some reason. My hands have quit shaking. But I keep replaying it in my head and thinking, "What if she hadn't hit the brakes?"

I got rear-ended this morning - not bad. For a split second, I thought she screeched her tires long enough, but no. She bumped me.
Luckily, I drive a pickup. She knocked the dust off my bumper. Her license plate is mangled & her bumper may be cracked.

This wasn't in my top 10 ways to start today.

I will admit I always had a hard time wrapping my head around Mysa and Nura being sisters. But whenever they were together, you could tell they were family.

I broke a sweat just walking out to the truck this morning. It's below 80 degrees, but the humidity is back, and it brought reinforcements.

I really thought Cliff bumped his head when he dropped off the sparkly backsplash. But the more I saw it and the more I smiled, I knew it was right.

Now that it's installed ... OH MY WORD! It was really the right choice!

Looking at backsplash, and I'm at a loss. Cliff found a backsplash that he thinks may work. I saw it and it's a little sparkly. If I'm being honest, it made me think of a friend who is also an incredible creator - and it made me smile.

So I may have found my kitchen backsplash.

Not that I can say much. I referred to the young men that installed my countertops as "kids.". In my defense, I'm old enough to be their dad.

I hope everyone has a chance to rest this weekend. Find someone to hug in the coming week - even if that someone has 4 legs.

Cliff is going to look at backsplash. I have absolutely no clue what to do with the backsplash, but Cliff said he stumbled across something he thought might work. We will see.

I spent Saturday out at the new place. I met with the builder for a bit, both of us answering questions. Then he left, and I enjoyed the peace and quiet out there for most of the day. I read a little. But, mostly, I just soaked in the peacefulness.

I went out there to drop off 2 chairs after work.
There was a doe & 2 fawns inspecting my work from about 30 yards away. And, as Granddaddy would say, the coyotes started singing. If it hadn't been so hot and muggy, I might have just spent the night out there.
