Nearly 24 million people are counting on Congress to save their health care. #CongressMustAct
beaheroaction.bsky.social
We wouldn't call the largest cuts to health care in American history "reforms" 🙄
beaheroaction.bsky.social
The GOP agenda is on full display: Corporations over people. Self interests over the health of their constituents. Gambling with the lives of people they swore to represent.

Trump rambled over six whole minutes about everything except the question posed when a reporter pointed out: Immigrants without legal status aren't eligible for ACA tax credits, Medicaid, nor Medicare.

Republicans don't seem troubled by the possibility of ~24 million Americans not being able to afford their health care. They should listen more closely to the people who will be impacted by their decisions.

Don't be fooled by GOP lies. There is no fiscal argument, no moral reasoning, no logical excuse why Congress can't extend #ACA subsidies and save health care for nearly 24 million Americans.

Republicans are choosing a government shutdown, gambling with workers' paychecks, over protecting the healthcare coverage of over 20 million Americans.

Letting social commenters speak re: the Trump administration's #autism and #Tylenol remarks so we don't have to...

(7/7) Will this impact you? Are you currently on an ACA plan? Will these cuts mean more money spent on healthcare and less on groceries, utilities, and other necessities for you and your loved ones?

(6/7) Who do these changes serve? Not you, not us.

Dollars taken away from our healthcare are being siphoned into tax breaks for rich people and corporations. We deserve a healthcare system that works for us and can’t be taken away by any politician at the behest of the ultra-wealthy.

(5/7) Who’s responsible?

The GOP-controlled Congress refused to extend subsidies in their “Big Beautiful Bill." Instead, they...
-Ended automatic enrollment
-Shortened the enrollment period
-Expanded eligibility for inferior “catastrophic” plans
-Are now threatening #TrumpsGovernmentShutdown

(4/7) Subsidy Expiration=Higher Bills.

If ePTCs expire, ACA plan premiums will ⬆️ over 75%. This spike could lead to healthier people dropping coverage, making all premiums in the marketplace rise. These changes are deliberate & intentional, and will make it even harder for people to get coverage.

(3/7) While these tax credits helped tens of millions of people to afford health coverage through the ACA marketplace, Congress is about to allow them to expire at the end of this year.

What does that potentially mean for you?
beaheroaction.bsky.social
(2/7) What are ACA tax credits? Premium tax credits, originally introduced as part of the ACA, helped anyone making 100-400% of the federal poverty limit(FPL). The American Rescue Plan Act added enhanced premium tax credits(ePTCs), for anyone making over 400% of FPL.

🧵(1/7) Nearly 24 million people on ACA health insurance plans are about to face much higher premiums in 2026. Are you one of them?
beaheroaction.bsky.social
The "relatively small number being effected" he's talking about here are nearly 24 MILLION people on #ACA plans. 24 million of our family members, neighbors, friends who may not be able to afford health care because Republicans allowed these subsidies to expire. Congress must act now!

"Republicans insist that President Trump's cuts to #Medicaid were aimed at reducing fraud and getting more of its adult beneficiaries into jobs. But the side effects may include less care for sick kids."
Trump's Medicaid cuts will hit some children's hospitals
The GOP said its overhaul of Medicaid was aimed at reducing fraud and getting more adult beneficiaries to work. Among the likely side effects: fewer services and doctors for treating sick children.

8 months into a job and still clueless about basic data? That's grounds for termination in any role, let alone one responsible for national health!

RFK Jr. is wholly unfit for this position.
