I started last week too. I’m awful at it but it’s so relaxing 😅

I’m absolutely obsessed with these. Ferret dreo is something I didn’t know I needed and can no longer live without 😅😂

He cradled her face with large hands as he wiped her tear stained cheeks with his thumbs.

“I’ll take care of you Granger. We will find some veritaserum so you know I’m telling the truth. Let me help you?”

“I don’t need veritaserum. I shouldn’t, I know, but I trust you Draco”

“No! It’s not like that!” But Ron was already too busy running away to pay attention to her words.

She didn’t know how long she stood there before a hand on her shoulder made her turn to face Draco.

“Don’t worry about him. He’s an idiot for treating you like that.”
November 24, 2024 at 9:24 AM
“Because he was-“

“If you remember that, I bet you know what you turned into in second year.”

“I didn’t turn into anything. Madame Pomfrey fixed me!”

“So you do have memories!”

“No I just heard about-“

“I knew you was lying! You hated that everyone was too busy grieving to give you attention.”
November 24, 2024 at 9:24 AM
“Har har.” He muttered dryly but his eyes shone with happiness as he looked at her.

“I thought you couldn’t remember anything from school Hermione?” Ron questioned through gritted teeth.

“I can’t. But Draco-“

“Well you clearly can. How else would you remember him being a ferret?”
November 24, 2024 at 9:24 AM
His demand was so sharp that she couldn’t help but to obey.

“Ferret?” She questioned as she moved to stand with Ron. He looked to Draco to see him rolling his eyes and hers widened in delight. “Moody turned you into a ferret! That’s what you meant by spineless rat!” She couldn’t help but laugh.

He was just in the middle of explaining where things are in Hogsmeade when a throat cleared, interrupting them. They both looked up to see Ron looking down at them in disgust.

“What are you doing?” He questioned, anger clear in his tone. “Come here Hermione, don’t go near the ferret.”
November 24, 2024 at 9:24 AM
He smiled at her rant and nodded before moving to sit beside her.

For a long while, they sat there. He talked about their time at school together, her relationships with her peers and the war. He answered every question he could and apologised when he didn’t know the answer.
November 24, 2024 at 9:24 AM
“Would you mind telling me a bit more about the Wizarding world?” She felt silly asking. But her need for knowledge outweighed her hesitation. “Only, I can’t ask anyone else because Ron doesn’t believe me, his family think it will fix itself, and Harry has enough to deal with.”
November 24, 2024 at 9:24 AM
“Do you wish me harm now?”

“Not at all. I’m so sorry for every time I have in the past.”

She nodded. “Are you busy?”

The question seemed to startle him. “Not really, I was just coming to see if there are any buildings to rent or buy.”
November 24, 2024 at 9:24 AM
“Why- why did you tell me all of that?” She asked as tears began to form in her eyes once more.

“I fear you were an unfortunate recipient of my uncle’s memory spell what wipes anything magical from muggleborns and half bloods. You deserve to know the truth about me.”
November 24, 2024 at 9:24 AM
“I thought I had to be mean to you because you were a muggleborn gryffindor so I made your life hell. But the war has taught me a lot and I would like to apologise for everything I have done and said to you.” He lowered his head to look at the floor. “I know it isn’t enough. But I’m sorry, Granger”
November 24, 2024 at 9:24 AM
“I know who you are. We went to school together. I was a Slytherin and I was so horrible to you and your friends. You hated me, probably still do.” Why was he telling her this. If she didn’t know him, he could pretend she’s always liked him.
November 24, 2024 at 9:24 AM
“No, sorry. How rude of me. I’m Hermione Granger.” She stuck her hand out for him to shake and for a long moment it seemed that he wasn’t going to.

When his hand touched hers, something settled in her. She felt safe for the first time since the war. She immediately let her guards drop.
November 24, 2024 at 9:24 AM
After a moment, he broke it with cautious words. “Granger,” he sounded like he was trying not to anger a wild animal. “Do you know who I am?”

She shook her head, he must be a celebrity. That would explain why he looked familiar but doesn’t know her first name.
November 24, 2024 at 9:24 AM
“I’m sorry to bother you, I’m okay. But could you please tell me where the bookshop is? I can’t remember?”

His eyes widened as he studied her face. “You can’t remember where the bookshop is?” She shook her head in reply.

Silence stretched between them as he continued to study her.
November 24, 2024 at 9:24 AM
“I don’t have my wand. I’m not going to do anything.” This took her off guard. Was he an enemy that she had been warned about? But why would her enemy ask if she was okay?

She shook her head. And, despite everyone telling her to never let people know of her memory loss, she spoke up.
November 24, 2024 at 9:24 AM
“Are you okay?” A voice asked nearby. She quickly wiped her face with the sleeves of her jumper before looking up.

The person who spoke was so familiar, with white blonde hair and grey eyes so light they were almost silver. She knew him, she knew she did. But how?

“Granger? You okay?” He asked.

She moved to the side of the street, moving to sit on the floor in front of a bordered up shop. One that, according to the sign, had once been an apothecary.

She couldn’t stop the tears from falling as she sat alone in an unfamiliar place. Yes, she had been here before but the memories were taken.
November 24, 2024 at 9:24 AM
For a moment, she was still. Shocked by the fact she had been left alone to fend for herself for the first time since the war, and of course it had to be in public.

Everyone knew her, that much she knew. And, despite the late hour, there were still many people around to witness her humiliation.
November 24, 2024 at 9:24 AM
Ron stopped abruptly and she walked into him, too lost in her thoughts as she tried to remember something, anything, to no avail. He sighed as he turned to look at her. “I am going to talk to George. You’re going shopping. I’ll find you when I’m done.” And with that, he turned and left her alone.
November 24, 2024 at 9:24 AM
Even after all these months, he didn’t seem to believe that she was lacking memories. He didn’t see her get hit by the spell, so of course it didn’t happen.

She knew she deserved better, but she couldn’t navigate the world alone right now. She needed his help.
November 24, 2024 at 9:24 AM
“You don’t have to cling to me, Hermione. You can do things on your own.” It was clear Ron was becoming tired of her. He made no effort to disguise the fact. But she didn’t know what to do. He was always dragging her out with him but didn’t like when she stayed by his side.
November 24, 2024 at 9:24 AM
She searched her memories, what little she had left of the wizarding world, in hopes of recalling the bookshop, or at least the name of it.

She came up short. All she got for her troubles was the beginnings of a headache.

“No, I’d rather stay with you.” Her reply was quiet but he heard her.
