we got cilantro day #46! and i took out some basil yesterday here it is today #44!/ i stuffed manicotti with sauteed asparagus, garlic and red pepper then baked it in broth with cherry tomatoes, feta and parmesan and there's the basil! ed note: b-sky says i'm misspelling manicotti and parmesan?

ok cilantro day #40! is getting a bit scraggly...i will probably trim that back and do some actual thinning of plants soonish...basil day#38 looks good. probably harvest a couple of those soon to thin them out too. AND lettuce day#38! pretty much ready to be trimmed down again just 8 days later...

all right/ indoor lettuce day #30!!!! my 'rows' here are about 2" deep and 3" wide. what i'll do is trim these down now to about 1/2-3/4" and get a decent sized bowl of greens and then they should start growing back pretty quickly...

indoor cilantro garden day #32!!! and basil day #30!!! i already picked off some little cilantro leaves for soup garnish so it's looking a little stringy/ it should bounce back. i'm not bothering to thin much at this point but i have snipped off a few of the baby basils. they smell really good

let's talk about soup baby! ep2..simmer dry beans with garlic/drain. brown a lb or 2 of chicken, 1/2 c diced onion, garlic in oil with a Tbs of chile powder in a pan. skin/destem the green chiles and add all to the crock pot with a tsp or so of salt, pepper, cumin plus tomatoes and enc. sauce.
