it sounds weird to boil the pigeon's eggs and feed her the shells, but it's actually common practice. estelle was laying 2 eggs a month, which is too many, so i got her a hormone implant last summer to give her body a break.

yes, they usually lay 2. also, it's possible that she laid the other one already and it's in an odd spot, so definitely do an egg hunt. morning bird has a good calcium supplement. i sprinkle the powder on the pigeons' seeds, but they also have a liquid that you can add to their water.

do you have fakes to swap in? if you boil the eggs she will eat the shells to replenish her calcium.
