I have a condition called “Scheuermann's kyphosis.” Basically it’s back pain caused by a growth disorder. I don’t suffer anywhere near as much as others I know with it. One lady uses sticks and sometimes a wheelchair. I’m not that bad. Far from it. Anyway, I digress. (1/2)

Exactly one month ago today I started a new job. I didn’t tell anyone as I didn’t want the old job to know. I had my reasons. I’m still in the same line of work, just a different organisation, higher position and higher grade.

Living with hearing loss means the world often feels quiet and distant, even with hearing aids helping me catch some sounds. It can be frustrating and lonely when conversations blur into background noise or get lost altogether. But there’s a light in all of this. Signing. (1/5)
