Very true, since Norwegians have been known to pronounce a consonant once in a while.

Also I realise I haven't commented on the film yet: it's brilliant, one of the best things I saw at the Leeds film festival last year.

I also remember a couple of times when Danes thought I was speaking Norwegian due to my pronunciation being so terrible...

I think it happens more in fiction due to convenience, but yes, it does happen. When I worked in Copenhagen I remember a couple of Swedish colleagues who would just speak Swedish (when not speaking English).

Not a native speaker, but as far as I remember and as far as I could discern, Skarsgard's just speaking Swedish. Wasn't there something about his character having grown up in Sweden? Also Jesper Christensen is speaking Danish throughout his bits.
