I read Astrid Goldsmith’s new graphic memoir The Crystal Vase and it’s utterly wonderful!

Accidentally aged Dairylea cheese slice.
A Dairylea cheese slice I’ve unearthed from the bottom of my fridge. One corner has gone mouldy (?) but it resembles the rind of a nice Brie. Genuinely intrigued to see what this tastes like but I’m too cowardly to try it out.

So much this! I said the other day after Mani's passing that two of my top 5 ever favourite gigs were Mani/Shields era Prml Scrm.
An excerpt from Daniel Dylan Wray's review of a recent My Bloody Valentine gig. It reads: Those who saw Primal Scream live during their XTRMNTR era, in which Mani was on bass and Shields was on guitar, speak about it with a giddy reverence of a band operating at the full throttle peak at its apex.

Working on an assignment that uses the Barclays outage in January as a case study. I find myself on the Barclays Wikipedia page and I didn't have to read too far before finding something utterly horrifying...
In 1941, during the German occupation of France, a branch of Barclays in Paris, headed by Marcel Cheradame, worked directly with the invading force. Senior officials at the bank volunteered the names of Jewish employees, as well as ceding an estimated one hundred Jewish bank accounts to the German occupiers. The Paris branch used its funds to increase the operational power of a large quarry that helped produce steel for the Germans. There was no evidence of contact between the head office in London and the branch in Paris during the occupation. Marcel Cheradame was kept as the branch manager until he retired in the sixties

Two new Boss BIC-10A instrument cables in blue and orange. The packaging looks like a classic Boss stompbox guitar pedal. The same two cables as in the previous picture but now each one is next to its matching guitar pedal. The blue cable is next to a Boss Super Chorus CH-1 and the orange cable is next to a Boss Waza Craft Distortion DS-1w.

Just discovered that Boss do a range of cables which match their classic compact pedal series colours and never have I felt so obviously called out by a product before.
