Just looking around, saying stuff, and philosophizing to nobody.
Current read…finished introduction and while there are some aspects of the argument that feel familiar from recent laments, I am intrigued to see where this goes. I agree with the idea of flattening and non-innovative creative culture but interested to see what Marx does with it. #culture #reading

‘Heated Rivalry’ is a really beautiful and great series, but rewatching it I find myself feeling these feelings of just deep loneliness. Like a reawakening of something I have just kind of shoved down inside myself. #heatedrivalry

I have another birthday coming up soon and worry I am not aging right, like not doing all the marks and milestones right. I mean I know I am not, at least not the ones most people count. A change of age makes this all the more noticeable.

The older get the more I realize respectability is a trap. Worse, it is a fickle one at best.

Move over Heated Rivalry, you have nothing on the tension compared to the jug shopping in “North Woods" by Daniel Mason. Love this book and have read it whole twice and in parts a few more times. #reading #books #northwoods

Giving up on seriousness for 2026. This last year worked hard, tried to follow all the rules, and find myself tired and worse off than before. So 2026 is gonna be a fuck around and find out kinda year. Can’t lose much if you ain’t got nothing to start with.

Just a darn good book, “Time Shelter” by George Gospodinov…there are reasons it won the Booker prize. The emotion, the internal struggles, the relationships with time, and the tragedy that comes from trying to live in the past. Also has a bit of Shuttered Island reveal feel. #reading #timeshelter
