I went to ebooks mainly for the instant download and because I live 35 minutes away from a very small library that has limited resources. I know a lot of people have circled back to paper books, but I can't see it for myself. I can read a book NOW without waiting and ebooks are generally cheaper.

Oh bummer. I didn't look at other regions since I'm logged into my own account. Yup, it's a great read!!!

Don't forget your local chaos witch or even the gnome. Yes, gnomes can be finicky, but they are knowledgeable and quite witty. Save calling the gargoyle for really big favors. You'll have a hard time paying that boon back, so be very careful!

Or just make posole, which requires quite a bit of boiling to cook the hominy. Then you also get soup out of the deal!

Tell me the name(s) of your books and are they on Kobo?

I do sell direct as well. I'm trying really hard right now to build momentum with a couple of audio books on Kobo and Google Play. I haven't figured out a good way to sell those direct because the files are so large, but I'm always trying to expand my reach and not be stuck with just Amazon.

I do sell on other platforms, but I would imagine Google Play can scrape books any time it decided to as well. And Apple. I don't know a way around it. The courts won't stop the scraping with the current administration in office. Sad.

And they already have the books (mine from 15 years ongoing) so it's probably too late.

I have trouble enough managing livestock, never mind having to do it in a dress!

I bought a Kobo reader and buy my books from Kobo. amazon is a habit and it's easier to just plunk your books there as an author. It takes work to market and upload and all the other jobs that come with multiple retailers. Are your books on Kobo?

I think I also heard adobe's PDF files weren't getting saved until closing. That's bunk. Total bunk.

I use Linux OS and open office (Libre office) to write. I've heard canva does the same thing. For some odd reason, a few software programs are not honoring the "save." I hit save so often, sometimes I haven't even typed anything new!!!

I think I actually saw this one or at least quite a few scenes of it. (Not a movie watcher).

Sales have slowed everywhere and on Amazon, it seems like most "sales" are in KU--which means a very low payout. But whether author or reader, we do not do ourselves any favors buying and selling only on Amazon. We are only helping them curtail the market!

Godspeed. I'll miss seeing your posts, but these are the life events where we must be most present. Be kind to yourself and may you be graced with strength and peace.
