I also think it's worth finishing the series, I feel like it mellowed out a bit fwiw.

That's fair, I think there's an element of what can we get away with meeting trying to paint such broad strokes about the experience. I don't know that we'd have things like heated rivalry today if we hadn't had shows like that back then.

where heated rivalry feels safe for a straight audience. QAF was unapologetically not.

That show gave me hope before I was able to get out and find my community. It may not have aged well, and it had issues...but to compare it to a current show seems unfair. They're two wildly different shows from different worlds. And it feels like QAF touches on so much more of the Queer experience,

...I mean ...we didn't have ...anything like QAF before that show. Idk what your experience was growing up but for a lot of us it was the first time seeing into a world we didn't know existed. .

I'm on day 2! I'm really excited for it. Found a way to work out that works with my schedule and a trainer I really like.
