Yep. That's just common sense. But they really seem to care much more about weaponizing his death than actually finding his killer.

I can see why Biden didn't force the issue. It would have looked self-serving AF. But Garland had no excuse, unless Biden was stopping him behind the scenes.
Either way, they failed to prosecute an insurrectionist and failed to enforce Amdt. 14. section 3. Now we got Trump 2.0.

He's not the only one who had a chance to stop him & failed.
Garland & Biden had their chance, but took more than 2 years to start bringing their case, which gave him time enough to delay and run out the clock.
I personally think that was the point or else Garland was hoping he'd just go away ...
