'Orthodox Christianity' and 'Fundamentalist Christianity' are separated by time primarily...both demand obedience to a limited set of precepts. Early (especially) and modern Christianity (in its entirety) have a wide range of interpretations of Truth-don't agree IF Jesus was a historical figure.
