Many winter ducks in Yellowstone National Park. Mixed flock including Barrow’s Goldeneye (quite plentiful here) and the not-so-Common Goldeneye male and female. Also a male Hooded Merganser getting out of the strike zone of a Trumpeter Swan.

Trying not to think about US politics on a birdwatching trip to southern Costa Rica. I much prefer the cuckoos here than the ones ruining our poor country. This one is a striped cuckoo. 🪶
