Jealousy can't be helped sometimes, but there's no one but yourself to blame if you well in it
Use it as motivation to get working! It often helps! Turn it into a good thing! Life is too short to abuse and sit on your ass about it

That's the end of the thread, may your needles be sharp and your paints be perfect

stick with 1 brand, but you can test it on the paper too

Here's how my paper looked... It's not a good example as I blew out the clogged paint onto it + pumped the Posca on it, so please ignore those stains lol

I use paper as my palette, as I find acrylic paint hell to clean from plastic/plates

I believe each has its usage, but if you can't get these brands, this how you can test yours!

Get paper, set base with your paint brush of what you'd use. Then go over it with the markers you'd like to use on the eyes to see how well they cover the base paint, if it won't mix, etc. Again, try to -

Posca=white

Pros
Good quality pigments, I believe all colors cover well
Different sizes nibs
A lot of colors
Pumping it cleans it a bit

Cons
Easy to clog holes
Will crack when drying on flexible materials
Will mix with other brands

Arrtx=blues

Pros
Better control
Can be flexed without cracking
Hard to clog holes with
The darker colors cover very well
Ready to draw as is

Cons
Lighter colors (especially white) have worse pigments, therefore they don't cover well

Which is why I brought Posca for the white for the next step

even if you left it to dry for days between brand markers switching.

Personally I prefer Arrtx, and I'll list exactly why. But I see Posca being useful too in another scenario that I wasn't in that moment. I'll make it clear which colors are which brand.

- if done this way. Let it completely dry. And it's ready to paint! As I learned from myself, treat it as water colors: work lightest to darkest for the best result.

I highly recommend that you DON'T mix different brands of acrylic markers, use only one. There's a chance they'll become mixed,

First, use regular acrylic paint with a brush to set down a base. (Paint the back black for better vision, do white or get creative with the front!)

Then you'll leave it to dry off for a couple of hours, or days to be 100% certain to avoid paints mixing

Posca & Arrtx has NOT pick up base paint-

It could kill someone, it has killed someone in my life who had to take immunocompromised pills as he had his lungs replaced to prevent his body from rejecting them. Stay home and relax, it saves lives!
