I disagree. The idea that no centrist coalition can be formed is misguided. Both parties are being driven around by the fringes of their parties under the banner “you cannot compromise with X“. The fact remains that the majority of the population is in the center and there is gainful strategy here.

I’ve contemplated this recently. In the states we have cable networks aligned with political identity (amongst other lines). I wonder if we’re seeing a similar trend occurring in new media?

I see value in identifying the middle ground as a means to avoid the pitfall of getting caught up with fringe opinions.

Adam, how is dispersion quantified here? What’s the input data to the model? I’m trying get a sense of whether it is just voting relative to party or if there is qualitative data? On that note, do you know if any qualitative data of this type?

There was an entire ten minute scene in Armageddon where Bruce Willy and crew floated around inside of a vacuum evacuated room. There were also sound proof foam blocks on the walls if I recall correctly. 🤷♂️
