The other 30% conflate nationalism with patriotism. We've seen this confusion before, but there's no red scare this time to instill collective fear. Now, it's whatever Trump says it is, and that is far more terrifying.

Over the holidays, I discovered that my father had a mug with that map printed on it. I tried to explain to him how it is misleading, but he wasn't interested. Even tried showing him a map of results based on population. Couldn't be swayed. 🤦♂️
