Yeah the term alpha male came from a bs study of wolves in captivity. The wolves in captivity had "alphas" who dominated the other wolves. But when they studied wolves in the wild it turned out the alphas were just the elders or the parents of the pack, both male and female equally.

It's interesting that you view acting as a job where the person has to be absolutely in love with the work they're doing. The vast majority of people don't like the projects they're working on at various points, why should acting be different? She's doing a job.

No we've been slipping for a long time. Reagan started this steep decline. If you look at the wealth gap, healthcare and housing prices, and many metrics of well-being - it all slipped when Reagan gut regulations, gutted welfare programs, and ramped up mass incarceration
