A week ago I was being told to apologize for saying Trump would be worse for Gaza because he faked a temporary pause/pretend ceasefire to coincide with his inauguration.

Now he’s just openly endorsing/encouraging ethnic cleansing.
On Air Force One from Las Vegas to Miami, President Trump says Palestinians in Gaza should be relocated.

“I’d like Egypt to take people. I’d like Jordan to take people,” he tells reporters.”We just clean out that whole thing.”

Trump hated TikTok (because China) until it helped him win an election (as even he acknowledges) and now he’s going to save it and take a victory lap. So he’ll have X, TikTok, Insta, and Facebook all working on his behalf. That’s a big difference between now and 2017.

I've zero interest in this empty drama and would love to see it end. I suspect many of you agree. Democrats are impressing nobody by fighting amongst themselves. Maybe infighting in the face of imminent fascism is interesting to consultants or staffers, but it has nothing to do with saving America.

my reading of events: 1) Harris ran a moderate campaign, the results would have been worse had she not 2) incumbents everywhere faced a historic thermostatic backlash bc of post-covid hysteria/inflation 3) public opinion is non-static and everyone is already extrapolating too much from this

"While pundits have busied themselves over the past 10 days nitpicking Kamala Harris’s campaign, one thing is abundantly clear: She was held to the highest standards of leadership while Trump was held to no standard at all."

Qualifications don’t matter in MAGA World. That’s how Trump first got elected.
Trump appointed five of his personal lawyers to prominent positions in his administration. In any other era, it would’ve been a major news story, but with Trump, it feels like a nothing burger compared to his other outrageous picks
