I teach 5th grade at a fairly diverse public school in New England. Our building is crumbling, the water isn’t potable, funding overall sucks. But kids are amazing. They get it. They are wide awake.

Outside of our trash government and just the general oppressive design of the system, white affluent progressives are one of the biggest threats to equity in public education. They are driving the wedge, not bridging gaps.

There are more of us. 99% apparently. What the hell is the hold up??
