Once again trans people, who have a proud tradition of military service, have been banned from serving in the military, by a man who was unwilling to serve and weaseled out with "bone spurs."

He is NOT my president and does not represent me or my values. He is a disgrace.

Today was bread baking day. This loaf has caramelized onions and cheddar cheese.

This bread was baked by a proud trans woman. And a big FO to all the fascists out there. You can ruin our country and continue with the witch hunts, but we will continue to exist regardless of your efforts to erase us.

RIP, sir.

I'm sad to hear of President Carter's passing. He was someone I had a ton of respect for, and the way he lived his life was an example for all of us. He wasn't our best president, but he was arguably the finest person to ever hold the office. He will be missed.

I decided to go with the traditional Christmas meal of pepperoni pizza! I had ham for Thanksgiving so I could make split pea soup, and I'm not a fan of turkey, so what better choice than pizza! I was excited to use 00 flour for the first time, and was really pleased with how the crust turned out.

This will make some mighty fine split pea soup! I'll also use it for sandwiches, omelettes, and whatever else I can think of lol

Pizza sounded good tonight and luckily I had everything I needed to make one, so as soon as this cools down enough to eat, I'll be digging into a slice, or two!

Brown butter pumpkin oatmeal cookies. I saw the recipe on my feed and thought it sounded good, and I had a bit of pumpkin that I needed to use. It's a rainy day here, so a perfect day for baking! They turned out well and have a really nice flavor. I'll keep a few and take the rest to work tomorrow.

Today's cooking project features a beautiful piece of Atlantic salmon!

Just started watching this week's episode of the Great British Baking Show, and this week's theme is the 1970s. The fact that only one of the remaining bakers was even alive in the 70s makes me feel really old lol But I adore this show and it's been a much need distraction these past few weeks.

Heading to the gym. At 62 years old, it takes a lot more work than it used to in order to maintain the level of fitness I want, but it's worth it. And as someone who enjoys cooking and baking, working out regularly allows me to enjoy those things without feeling too guilty lol
