San Antonio this afternoon. I left messages for Tony Gonzales, Cruz, and Cornyn while there was a lot of honking and chanting. I told them this was the voices of THEIR constituents demanding support for Ukraine and opposing the Russian position.

Another excerpt from the Sarcoxie (Missouri) Yesteryear column. Before vaccines, polio was a real threat. It is discouraging I feel those days will be back if Kennedy is confirmed. Making my calls today for the DOGE overreach and cabinet confirmations.

She is starting to open up a little bit. I can only visit her for a little while each day but the vet techs love her and her sister, Bingo.

Here is the medal…see a resemblance?? Her name is Bluey and she is 18-24 months old. Recently spayed and almost through with quarantine period following her rescue from a bad home and intake from a rural shelter.

Look at this face! Have you ever thought of fostering but didn’t know where to start? I want her to stay in the San Antonio Tx area so she can be my Fiesta medal model! She is a sweet girl and needs a home with at least one other dog. She is in medical boarding but will need a foster soon.

I can NOT believe the ignorance! I get the weekly newspaper from my hometown of Sarcoxie Missouri and just saw the result of the fluoride question. I grew up on well water in the 60s and 70s and my teeth are horrible. What ignorance. And they are so proud. Ugh!

I went to the library today. Brought the wrong library card so the librarian had to help me. I asked her how she was and she told me. Then asked me how I was. I told her. I thought she would like bluesky so I hope she joins. Little connections make a difference.

My senior girl has to wear a pillow to keep from licking a hotspot. I look at her and think…I feel ya. A little confused why I have this yoke around my neck again…but resigned to the idea, and maybe a little hopeful tomorrow will be better. She wears blue in solidarity and it matches her eyes.

I am a lifelong Democrat, currently living in Texas, deeply disappointed with the recent election. My two rescue girls are helping me cope, but we are ready to join the struggle again and fight for what we believe in.
