Which ever adult is staying home to care for the kids regardless of gender of the parent, grandparent, or guardian should get some kind of supplemental income from the State so that they aren't 100% dependent on whichever family member is working outside the home. Should lower financial abuse risks.

Parental leave for both parents upon the birth/adoption of a new child helps with the stability of the family and the health of workers. Both parents getting parental leave also helps destigmatize it and improves the connection of both parents with the children.

I have to carefully monitor everything I eat and do. I am the healthiest severely disabled person according to medical tests. Medical tests say I am perfectly healthy while I am paralyzing, fainting, and/or falling all over the place. If I screw up my diet by even a little I fall even more often.

Shocking in the moment. All the Trump Administration actions are shocking. Who did what now? Are they fucking crazy?

Frankly it would be a problem even if the elected officials committed crimes for the President to ask for their deaths. At most they should say that they will be held accountable if they are found guilty, but everyone deserves their day in court.

I was a "healthy" kid who did all sorts of normal things, but I did have some weird stuff happen whenever I was active. My genetic disorder kicked in hardcore in my 20s. I don't know if I could have prevented it from starting. Maybe if I knew everything about my disability years before it activated.

I used to eat there a lot and get their sandwiches at least once per week. However, they closed down the store close to my house and got rid of the sandwiches I preferred so I just kind of gave up on them.

Working from home was difficult due to my other disability, since I couldn't talk on the phone for even a full hour before my voice would no longer work for a few hours. Sitting up in a chair was difficult for many years.

I also haven't been able to work since 2007. At first I thought I would recover enough eventually to go back, but despite having needed rare technical skills no business was willing to deal with my food allergies in order to just Interview me (I need a building wide food ban).

But I react to several common foods in the air (Nuts, Corn, Popcorn, Strawberries, Bacon) with Anaphylaxis. My Popcorn allergy is so bad I can't even be within 200 ft outdoors from a popcorn machine or movie theater. I can't go into a building where popcorn has been made in the last 24 hrs.

I have to prove to the government again that I can't work. So I called my PCP office while bedbound today. I spend 3-5 hours per day bedridden and paralyzed. Eventually the paralysis calms down enough I can try to function in my house and do necessary self care. Not sure how I can work.

To be fair, how much "help" is out there really? My mother and I have chronic illnesses that could really use a team approach and a nurse that regularly visits to check on us. Such a thing is seemingly impossible for the current system. They might do it for three months, but then nothing.

There are cases where pregnancy can cause disability to the point that they really need similar access. Although, it should be on a case by case basis and not all pregnant women.

I am set up for a tilt table test in a month. I keep falling (like a puppet with their strings cut) after standing up. I have another condition that causes frequent falls, but that feels very different from this problem.

I like interfaith alliances where people from various religions sit down for complex discussions about faith and how each faith considers standard daily living situations like marriage and raising kids. The discussions can get heated, but everyone should remember they are there to learn not harm.

All the faiths I am aware of have a subset of people who can only see their faith as the one true faith and use that to admonish or oppress others. When it is culturally uncool to harass people using your faith, they keep more quiet. But the current time period has been encouraging this behavior.
