It was 2012 and Epstein's people were negotiating strict terms for their investment in Jawbone (via a fund called Mort). By 2017, the company shut down.

Inside the files is an email exchange between Epstein and Osborne on top of a forwarded thread with discussion about that investment. (Though it's not clear that it definitely happened.)

When I profiled Ian Osborne in 2021, there was one detail I couldn't quite get ready for print. We heard he had some sort of investment-related relationship with Epstein. Osborne aggressively denied it.

To get $1 trillion, or another 12% stake in Tesla, the company will need to sell 1 million robots and sustain an adjusted Ebitda/profits of $400 billion.

But he can earn plenty of shares along the way by selling more cars and Full Self-Driving subscriptions, or hitting lower
Ebitda targets.

Often covering Tesla, its feels like my job is to bring a reality check to the big promises that make the numbers go up.

This morning it feels a bit different. Musk said he plans to build a robot army. What does it mean to take this claim seriously?

It was the first time I've notice him use this specific phrase, militarizing what has previously been pitched as a tool for manufacturing or domestic settings.

Musk says he won't build such strong AI capabilities if there's a chance he can be ousted by activist investors and replaced.
