I want to have a gallery wall but I don't want to be the one to *create* the gallery wall, y'know?

What I really need in this trying time is somebody with a small modicum of interior design sense to come and place and hang all the prints I already own, so I can buy more 👀

I started 2026 with a girlfriend for the first time ever, so the new year certainly has brought me gays!! Long may it continue

Honestly the gamification created by them introducing a streak feature was a game changer for me in terms of getting me to track my reading daily and make it a habit.
But not wanting to review things publicly is valid, I do it but idc if people know what I think of a book bc I'm not in the industry!

Are we sure this isn't actually of Madeline? Because that baby looks about as huge compared to Mary as hers do in comparison to her.

This is why I religiously track my reading on @thestorygraph.com and also have a reading journal. I want all the stats and also I don't remember anything 😅

I used to live in the city centre, and I would just refuse to leave my flat unless absolutely necessary in this period. Absolute hell, I salute your bravery 🫡

Mood!!!! I was brave and I tried, but despite the pharmacy telling me on Friday to come back the next day they actually didn't have any stock 🤦🏻‍♂️😭 And I did brave town, which was Hell, but at least Waterstones was quiet.

Found him!

I'm debating whether I have enough energy/am brave enough to go and get my flu jab and also to possibly go to the town centre for something else. Hearing that a 3 year old is brave enough to tackle it is genuinely giving me the motivation to go 💪

There's a guy on tiktok who goes round asking men how tall they are, and then once they've answered he whips out a tape measure. The pure PANIC on some of those mens' faces is absolutely delightful.

Omg I didn't know they still made them! When I worked in a school we only had the purple syringes.

These are more fun (and presumably much easier to use, if not to clean) than the lil 5/2.5ml white plastic medicine spoons we had when I was a kid!
But also sorrows, prayers.

I have zero building knowledge, so my guesses were entirely vibes based. I guessed maybe 12/1300s just from the external pictures, and then maybe tudor after seeing the inside. I'm not at all surprised that I was Very Wrong 😅
Do you know when (beyond "medieval") all the bits they nicked are from?

They're so silly, and also SO expensive! I had a sock for my iPod nano and it cost me like a fiver. I'd never use the iPhone sock, it seems very impractical and annoying too. I'd rather get like a lanyard or something if I wanted to carry my phone like that
December 21, 2025 at 12:07 PM
I'd love pockets AND a bag, not either or 😫 They definitely both have their uses.
December 21, 2025 at 12:05 PM
No apology necessary, it wasn't a criticism of you or your response! More just pointing at that a bag isn't always a solution 😊
I live alone and am disabled, so I'm in the habit of making sure I always have my phone with me in the house just in case 😅
December 21, 2025 at 1:23 AM
Ok I NEED them to sell these again omg
December 21, 2025 at 12:23 AM
Didn't St Nick's have it for a while when Leicester was getting renovations done? If so that's my guess.
December 21, 2025 at 12:04 AM
Do you wear your satchel at home though? I want to be able to go upstairs with my phone without having to hold it in my hand! (Especially if I'm like carrying laundry or something!)
December 20, 2025 at 11:38 PM
We only have to carry a bag because we have no pockets! My understanding of the history of fashion (though limited and I may be remembering wrong) is that it was that way round; that the removal of pockets was to increase bag sales.

Given that bust size varies wildly, there's definitely a reasonable percentage of people for whom they absolutely are useful!

I saw something recently (can't remember if it was here or tiktok) of a house where an oil delivery had gone to the wrong address, and "filled" the oil tank there. Except the tank had been removed but the fill line hadn't, so the basement was just flooded with oil... So always remove the fill line!
