Once the mold was complete, I started on stripping out the hull. This process involved cutting thing strips of foam core material and attaching them to the mold stations. The foam core is flexible and extremely lightweight, making this relatively easy, if a bit tedious.

The next step in the process is to transfer the design from paper plans to full sized wood cutouts (called “lofting”), and secure them to the strongback. There is a lot of detailed work here.
