I feel for beginners looking to start using #linux - so many choices but sometimes very different experiences. Start simple with one of the major distributions is my recommendation for folks. Fedora or Ubuntu or Suse.

Enjoying an #Ubuntu desktop again on this AMD miniPC which came with windows 11 on it. Installed a 2nd drive for linux to own and work out of and everything is smooth. For those when I need to run win app I've a small windows VM which runs flawlessly so far.

Had been using #linux in various ways since early 90s. Mac M1 air for last few years with Linux vms and tight iPhone integration. I really don’t want any AI so thinking of going back to Linux

And the starlink is cancelled. It worked but I’ve other options. No need to lend any support to that dude doing all that chopping of people’s lives
