Using our land to protect wildlife, especially endangered bees 🐝💚
It's wonderful to see lots of butterflies this year!
Last year I didn't see many, and was worried.

It's lovely to see the Woodpecker back, we first spotted one just after we bought the house 💚
I'm hoping we get the same amount of butterflies as that first year 🦋 🦋 there wasn't many last year.

I know I post a lot of Cornish sunsets, and I hope it isn’t boring. I do it in the hope it offers people a moment of calm. I took this a few summers ago in Carbis Bay. Pause for a moment and drift away on the warm breeze. May it soothe you from any anxiety. Rest well, my friends. 😊

From the morning dog walk, a little bit of nature’s joy. A simple reminder that with everything going on in the world, we can pause and breathe and return to the present moment with a single flower. A reminder that we are all connected. May your day be peaceful, my friends. 😊

As a Cornishman, I am very proud of my heritage and today is St Piran’s Day, the patron saint of Cornwall. Here is a short clip of our anthem, Trelawney, sung by Truro Male Voice Choir. Enjoy!

Etymology of the day: ‘book’ comes from an ancient root shared by ‘beech’, a wood that people used for engraving inscriptions. ‘Paper’ comes from ‘papyrus’, and ‘volume’ is from the Latin for a ‘roll’ of parchment.

Happy World Book Day.
