I approach book-to-movie adaptations like fanfic. I don't go to see them because I want accuracy. If I did, I would just read the book again. I want to see how an artist I enjoy responds to a story. I want those AUs, that canon divergence, the fix-its, the PWP Dead-Dove-Do-Not-Eat takes.

My favorite bts pictures are when an actor is only halfway dressed as the character they are playing, and they're holding a cup of coffee or something. Bonus points if the character is a monster/creature, so the actor is halfway done with silicone appliances. It's so silly. Acting is so silly.

There is a lot of art out there that criticizes d*sney. Most of it is very surface-level, glib commentary. Knights of Guinevere is the first one that feels like it's coming from a genuine place of hurt and anger. I hope Dana Terrace has a lovely day. I'm definitely going to keep watching 🔥
