Exactly this.

There are still a lot of bots and brexiteers around. Think I'll unfollow this one, bit too obviously bias for my liking.

It will take time to close tax loopholes. The rich find it very easy to move money so this need to be done carefully and surgically by Reeves.

I hope they have enough time to make those changes, because without progressives we're back to Tories or worse.

Easy to say after labour won the election isn't it. It wasn't certain to happen and the polls showed a UK that wasn't ready to return, and Europe unwilling to capitulate to a UK which until recently was hellbent on life outside the Union.

There is no quick turn around here, but it will happen

I agree. The PIP and universal credit changes were both stupid and dangerous towards the most vulnerable in society. It provided very little in the way of value to the treasury and ultimately turned a lot of people from labour for nothing.

I think they need to change their advisors on welfare.

Sounds like we only have a different idea of what the timescale for joining the single market is? Or do you believe Labour don't want to join?

I agree and I'm pretty sure the majority of labour agree. German chancellor recently raising the prospect of collaboration on European projects. It's great news

Sorry Jo, but there isn't a choice for labour.

The tax revenue the UK treasury currently receives from the 'tech giants' is relatively low (millions) when compared to the actual cost of entering a 'trade war' (billions). I'll take a sensible option over a stupid one, screw the tabloid headlines

The UK is in a weak position since Brexit. There is no option for us to posture tariffs, because labour cannot risk a run on the gilt - remember Truss' overconfidence, the UK economy is in the toilet.

Absolute insanity, I'm not up on my OpSec, but I'm pretty sure using anything outside of satellite phones means that phone would be using local Russian infrastructure which means there's opportunity to harvest data.

Absolute bilge. Press and media reform next please Labour.

Investment instead of fines! Investment was supposed to be the original incentivasation and agreement for privatisation!
