you're correct in that the name post I shared uses Chinese characters! Before the invention of Hangul in the 1400s, the Korean language was written using Hanja (Chinese characters), and names still tend to have corresponding Hanja to this day, in order to differentiate meanings from pronunciation!

You're correct! Boram is Korean (from Faerûn's equivalent of Korea: Koryo)! She's inspired by gisaeng (courtesans) of the Joseon era, as well as Korean mythology and folk religion! Her mother was a Gumiho (think: Korean version of the nine-tailed fox).
