3 of 3 Maybe the stock market is recognizing that this is just not a short-term issue but a long term degradation of the US Brand, not easily remedied. Especially, is there is no consistency in overall US policy.

2 of 2. Have tariffs, trade wars, detention of foreigners, deportations of students with legal status, threats of invasions, disparagement of our allies improved the US brand? Threatening to leave NATO, refusal to defend allies, does that help the brand.

Think of the US as a brand. Think of Trump as the brand manager. We need tourism. We need foreigners attending our university many of which pay all cash. We need the best brains to come here. We need to sell farm goods, bourbon, movies, fighter jets, software, cars and other goods overseas.

Why hasn't the American Cuban community demanded that Trump take over Cuba? Greenland, Panama, Canada and Gaza are discussed as possible targets, But 90 miles offshore is Cuba. Cubans have helped get Trump elected. Why no clamor to end the oppressive Cuban regime?

If corporate America would not hire Mr.Hesgeth ask your Republican Senator why he or she voted to confirm a candidate who would not get hired let alone a security clearance?

The press should ask Bezos, Zuckerberg, Dimon, etc whether their corporations would hire Mr. Hesgeth? Corporations run extensive checks looking at social media, an Equifax check, lawsuits etc. If a security clearance is required checks would be more extensive: including lie detector tests.
