I made this map as an aid for showing how much of the population of post-Revolutionary War Virginia was seen as “non-white”.
These percentages DO NOT include people enslaved at the time.
Millions of "white" Americans descend from free people of color.

I would be very much obliged & grateful if someone with far more knowledge of economics than myself would explain why Trump’s tariff announcements and subsequent partial “backdown” is not simple and naked market manipulation faciltitating insider short-selling on world stock markets.

What if this tariff thing has less to do with USA manufacturing, and more to do with trying to cause EU division?
Will some EU members begin to negotiate individual trade agreements in order to mitigate the effect of tariffs?
Germany/Slovakia/Hungary hardest hit. Latter 2 already in Putin's orbit.
