You’re totally right - but regardless of the skewed method of selection, the argument “the president was elected so he should do whatever he thinks is best” is no more valid than saying “the senate was elected, they should do whatever they think is best”

It’s not like correcting their information would solve the problem.

You can put statistics in front of them and they just won’t care.

They simply don’t trust our best methods of objectively understanding the world.

He’s only talking about cutting the bureaucrats here and then block granting funds with less oversight.

The DoED has ~5k employees, so we’re talking like at most a couple billion.
