Then lo and behold, at 12:10 when there was less then 100 people left a camera crew and a reporter show up to film. I didn’t see what news station they were with but it’s pretty typical for local media to downplay the size of these events. It was NOT small.

At its peak we had easily 1K people in view of where I was standing, crowds forming at all corners of the intersection. It was a continuous stream of honking horns of drivers showing support. After we got a little rain at 11:30 some people left, and the scheduled end of 12PM saw almost everyone go.
