Except, where were his colleagues? Why wasn't every Democrat there to cheer on his explanation for what he did that night? I am glad PBS captured this, but am I missing something, why were they not all there in support?

I am searching to find an answer for why a talented scholar and skilled host would be fired. Knowing your background in academia meant I knew I could trust your facts, which you delivered with great wit and elán. You are a nerd, a style icon, a great author. I can't wait to see what you do next!

There is! In Baroque notation Bb is written as B and B natural is notated as H. I think it has something to do with the tuning system of keyboard instruments at the time. So, Bach used Bb, A, C, H in a lot of his motifs. He was a self-indulgent rock star, of course he did!

Someone on this thread reminded me that if you accept a pardon then you accept that you are guilty. Maybe clyburn thinks that would be a sneaky way to get Trump to admit his guilt. Nice try I guess

Later I started teaching college, I had a gay student whose parents refused to sign her FAFSA until she disavowed being gay. Yes, please write that article or book. This is something a lot of folks don't know about

Started college in 82 with a little bit of $$ from bussing tables. I was eligible for financial aid, got a Pell grant and work study. Next semester, Reagan changed the law, requiring parents to submit financial info for students under age 24. Mine refused. It took years to graduate working full-time

favorite horror film of all time, The Hunger from the 80s with Catherine Deneuve and David Bowie. Sexy scary with gorgeous music. Also, Suspiria, strange and frightening. I am speaking of the 2018 version, when I looked up how to spell it, I learned the original was in 1977, not seen that yet

Yes. But now, as a teacher of children and adults, I do not dislike any of my students. I endeavor to guide them to be their best selves. If they don't see it, I can't force them to think differently.
