I vehemently dislike AI and it’s impact on the environment and erasure of creativity, but seems to me that they’re not using it to hire less people or do less work so besides the environmental impact I can respect this use case more than say, Arc Raiders and and everything AAAA studios are doing.

The article says they’re not using GenAI in any release version of the game, and Tencent owns a minority stake… so those are both positives IMO. Their process hasn’t changed from BG3 expect gotten bigger.
