October Reading Stats

The Spear Cuts Through Water is one of the greatest books I’ve ever read. Emma was a fun read like always, the Lathe of Heaven is gorgeous sci-fi, & Never Whistle at Night is perfectly scary.
I also read some spooky short stories, & found I really enjoy Edgar Allen Poe

Feeling quite ill this evening, but I did finally finish a book that I had to keep setting aside for things due at the library sooner. Started another book almost immediately too lol. Now I’m eating a late dinner

My August Reading stats (oops a bit late)

Some phenomenal reads for last month. Buffalo Hunter Hunter stood out the most to me. What a spooky & beautiful book. I also loved Solitaire, which felt like reading a book about my teenage self, & my re-read of Goose Girl was lovely as always

I find great joy in mapping out the books I will read in a month. This is an idealized list, but fun to plan nonetheless

I’m so bored so I wanna read my book, but my body aches so bad and I can’t focus. Blerghhhhhh

Nice. Guess I can’t read anymore books this year (just kidding I’m starting another tomorrow)

Does the number of books you wanna read ever make you spiral
August 4, 2025 at 1:21 AM
Just finished reading Solitaire by Alice Oseman. I saw so much of my young self in this book. A big sister who’s just so depressed and lonely and lost.
I love Tori so much 💜

July stats. Overall an amazing month of reading. Read a ton of Ursula K. Le Guin & it’s been so fascinating & I feel like I’m smarter with every book of hers I finish. Also finished reading all the published collections of Heartstopper & those boys bring me so much joy

June reading stats!

Some amazing reads this month. Forest Euphoria was so moving, Hijab Butch Blues was incredibly heartwarming, all about love almost broke me, the Final Strife blew me away with the world building, and Left Hand of Darkness was so thought provoking.

I love books 💖📚 #books

When you have to stop listening to bell hooks because it’s hitting a little too close to home, and you don’t wanna cry at work

May Reading Stats

I adore Jane Austen’s Persuasion, and Ursula K Le Guin is a phenomenal writer and she’s quickly becoming one of my most read writers. Great month overall for books

Planning out the books I’m reading over the summer following the prompts my sister made, and this summer reading challenge will either force me OUT of my reading slump or push me further IN lol

When a book is so good you have to go buy a copy so you can highlight and bookmark it. I love Le Guin’s writing so much. If you read anything by her, read The Dispossessed

Oops I haven’t posted my April reading stats! I read a lot less this month than previous ones but that’s mainly due to some rather large audiobooks. Pride & Prejudice was as lovely as ever, LOTR was really fun, & SOtR was fine 🤷🏼‍♀️

Watching the bbc Pride and Prejudice for the first time since I was a kid watching it with my grandma’s VHS set
May 15, 2025 at 9:13 PM
I watched His Girl Friday for the first time and yeah it’s a lotta fast talking and a woman who is way outta Cary Grant’s league

I gotta say I’m really enjoying Fellowship of the Rings. Obviously it moves very slowly in comparison to modern popular fiction, but recently I’ve been reading a lot of classic literature so it honestly feels very natural and nostalgic (even though I was scared of LOTR for most of my childhood)
