CDPR has already said multiple times that there is no canon, you can choose what you want. This is not like AC, where players were forced within the games. In this case, it's just marketing videos, nothing more. They're still showing masc V. Switch 2 trailer, friendship day, 'Show your V' post etc

Since when cyberpunk 2077 is a flop ? It sold more than 30m copies as of last year, its expansions crossed 10m. On steam, it reached overwhelmingly positive ( recent reviews). The wom is crazy good, the game is still played by lots of people every day. A sequel is in the work etc
