I cannot wait to welcome Dr Chabrol to Lancaster, where her work on healthcare contexts in Africa will come into dialogue with a range of interdisciplinary health projects currently underway at Lancaster University.

Fanny and I collaborate on research on hospital architecture and clinical environments, and I was lucky enough to attend her recent conference The Future of the Hospital from the South in Paris earlier this year, alongside colleagues from HUMA - Institute for Humanities in Africa

The Fellowship will help us to explore how the disciplines of French Studies and Medical Anthropology on the question of healthcare architecture and design, in particular thinking about decolonization in health/care architecture and the design of alternative clinical futures.
